Number Seven’s music is considered Alternative Rap because the group refuses to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Lyrakul, Lymeric and Delora provide a hip-hop and R&B sound that can reach a diverse audience.
Number Seven is a socially conscious group that addresses issues such as growing up in a broken home, fatherhood, peer pressure and other everyday occurrences. The group is passionate about giving back to the community and their involvement with non-profits such as, MADD, Daughters of Destiny, HeartSupport.com, Hope Pregnancy Center, Wounded Warriors Transitions Unit, and Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, has given them an opportunity to discuss issues that are usually ignored in popular culture.
